For years I have been muttering about Gnome. I just couldn't understand why people prefered it over KDE. Gnome lacks the flexibility of KDE in terms of configuration posibilities.
But lately I'm actualy starting to appreciate that. It's a clean desktop without al the fuss (and slowing down) that comes with the KDE and all it's features.
It helps that (open)suse comes with Yast. I hate it when I don't have a central configuration place. I also miss the normal programs menu. Lately every OS uses this short menu with only the most used applications, but actually, i hate having to click through every time. I prefer the good old "here's all your programs" list. But maybe I'm just getting old.
